Hyderabad: The total investments of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) in Telangana are set to reach Rs 3,700 as this bottling company owned by beverages major Coca-Cola India has recently announced Rs 700-crore investment for a new bottling unit. According to reports, Coca-Cola’s Head of Policy Jonathan Rief and other senior executives revealed HCCB’s plans for investing Rs 700 in a new Greenfield plant in Telangana’s Peddapalli district when a delegation led by Telangana Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu and R&B Minister Komatireddy Venkatreddy met them at the company’s headquarters in Atlanta in the US last week.
It may be mentioned here that in January this year, HCCB pegged its total investments in Telangana at over Rs 3,000 crore. The bottling firm revealed this when its senior-level delegation led by Himanshu Priyadarshi, its Chief of Public Affairs, Communications, & Sustainability (PACS) met Telangana Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy and briefed him about the company's total investment of more than Rs 3,000 crore in Telangana. This investment included ongoing Greenfield project at Bandatimmapur village in Siddipet district.
Among other things, the HCCB delegation at that time assured CM of their company’s commitment to continue to contribute towards the community development of the region. At that time, the Chief Minister also assured the HCCB team of his govt's help and co-operation towards ensuring ease of doing business for the company.
With the latest investment of another Greenfield plant in Peddapalli district, HCCB has enhanced its total investment in Telangana to Rs 3,700 crore.
